This project on Sydney’s northern beaches reflects its beach surroundings, acting as the borrowed view for the design.

The vibrant tropical mix of plantings including Kentia palms, Cascade palms, Cordylines, Liriopes, Cycads and Philodendrons, creates a lush ambience that is brought to life by the sound of Balinese water feature.

Natural sandstone walls that define the changing levels have been constructed to emerge from the masses of plantings and each act as a glowing feature to the garden.

The simple use of natural colours and materials, including white pebble, quarried sandstone and timber give contrast to the planting design and add to reflect the surrounding coastal environment.

The gardens can be enjoyed from a terraced level Balinese hut that looks north over the colours of planting and up the coastline.
